Aggression and violence toward women is instilled in boys through the term “boys will be boys”, an excuse to be hostile to the girls around them. Futures Without Violence, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending gender-based violence, introduces “Boys Will Be Men”, an integrated campaign focused on educating young boys and their parents on the long-term effects of excusing violent behavior towards girls.
